We may have found a printing company for our cards (Minuteman Press of Greenwich) AND we have gotten in touch with a few actors of Off Beat Players. Our next idea is to sketch out a few rough drafts so that the theater and printing company both know our plan.
We realized that the cards need to look consistent, and simplified, because they will be small. Our idea is to have the heads, shoulders, and hands be the same size and at the same angle. The differences will be with the accessories of all of the characters.
For example, Nathan Detroit of Guys and Dolls (the ace of spades) is holding dice, cash, wearing a bow tie, and has a bowler hat. Conrad Birdie of Bye Bye Birdie (the ace of diamonds) is holding his signature guitar, hairdo, and gold suit.
Last time we established a color scheme (see previous post), which will help us to keep our cards consistent no matter the suit, musical, or card number. Below (as promised) are some outlines of specific cards. Message us if you have any ideas for accessories!
Some of our other ideas are a framed print of each card, or collections of each musical. Another idea is wrap around mugs per each musical. Let us know what you guys would be interested in!
